Like all things – it’s only simple and easy, once you know how.


So many of God's answers to questions posted on my blog, “Project: Ask God” direct the questioners to meditate.

For the many of you who’ve asked me to record a guided meditation, this is for you. To coincide with the Seattle Mind, Body, Spirit Expo on March 29th and 30th 2008, I’m also releasing my first Guided Meditation CD.

With the many requests for a meditation CD I really had no idea of how I’d record it. I’ll tell you now how it all came to be.

In one of my classes in school, a teacher of mine brought in a Snowball microphone to record our individual poetry readings. The microphone recorded every nuance of the registers in our voices and I thought… maybe I could get one and see how my meditation sounded. That was the beginning.

As God would have it, after the King5 TV interview that aired in Seattle in the end of January, one of the readings that booked from that show was with a great guy with whom I immediately connected on many levels named Bill Wolford. Turns out Bill owned a recording studio and his company is Vivid Sound Productions (see the link to Vivid Sound Productions at the bottom of this page). It was Bill who prompted me to make the voice recordings with my new microphone and my Apple laptop and send them to him so that he could professionally mix the tracks and burn them to a CD for me.

Before I even finished the final recordings of my meditation we realized that it needed great music. We played around making our own out of sound recordings we made at the coast, of synthesized music we made and recorded in GarageBand and it sounded okay… but then my mom offered me her favorite walking Meditation Music written by Steven Cravis. One of the people we’ve become great friends with from the very first article published about me in August of 2007, Jeff Lutz – whom we still haven’t met as he lives in North Carolina, but undoubtedly will, warned my mom of licensing violations and reminded us to get the licensing rights to use the music if we planned to sell it.

Steven Cravis is a world-renowned composer and when you really listen to the round qualities in his Meditation Music you’ll know why. I meditated about it and God told me “call him”. I called his agent as listed on Steven Cravis’ website. No answer and I didn’t leave a voicemail. I emailed a few days later, no response. We never thought we’d be able to pay for the rights of such amazing music and I nearly gave up when I remembered God’s words again; “call him”. I cleared my energy and sent light to the situation and then I called the agent again. He answered. I gave him a brief idea of how small this project of mine was and that I’d most likely only burn about 100 CDs and that I was a high school student. He told me he’d contact Mr. Cravis and get back to me by Monday. This was Good Friday. It was only an hour or so after that conversation when my phone rang. It was Steven Cravis himself! I told him about my guided meditation, about the Expo only next weekend and how we planned to sell the meditation at the Expo if we could use his music somehow. The long story wound-up ending in the best possible case scenario! Steven Cravis is not only an amazing composer but also a kind and extremely generous man who has allowed me to use his music on this project. So you see, even with this project, if you ask God for help, and then allow Him the space to bring you the help, not only will the project complete, but it will complete in a way much bigger than you could even imagine it would.

I wanted to write about the course in miracles that this project took so that you can see how it worked for me and how it can work for us all.

The key things to do are:

a) ask for help
b) allow God the space to bring you help
c) allow for things not exactly as you planned and then simply wait for the miracle He brings.

Not only did I get this amazing CD made with the help of great professionals, but also I’ve got two new people in our lives that were gifts from God that will only grow over time.
