About the blog that is "Project: Ask God":
“Answered by God through…”
First let me thank you - all
of you questioners and readers alike. This project is becoming a success with new questions coming in daily and really great
questions at that. The success of this project is only possible because of you and your willingness to be courageous and open
your minds and hearts to the possibility that there is more.
God has blessed my entire
family with many incredible spiritual gifts, however while our gifts overlap, they are different. Our gifts seem to compliment
the others - in that God wants us - forces us sometimes - to work together. It is rare when big goals can be reached without
the help or advice of either my mom, Carley or my brother, David. It is our experience that God never gives any one of us
all the gifts they need to accomplish any single big goal.
That being said, you'll notice
that we've updated the posts to acknowledge to whom God dictated the answers. David is in class in Eugene at the U of O and I am in high school. When we first launched this project in September
2007, I struggled in hearing God's answers. Sometimes I think because I was tired. This was a very difficult and exhausting
process - accurately hearing and relaying God's word in sentence form. Before we post any answer we always ask another of
us if they are getting that the answer, is "right" and that it fully came from God, and that nothing was missed or interpreted
incorrectly. This project has already evolved to incorporate our familial way of checks and balances. Actually something
we've been doing for years to assure our human accuracy of something fully perfect. I'm very pleased to tell you that the
entire process is getting much easier . With the airing of the King5 Evening Magazine TV show on 1/31/2008, my 3 to 4 questions
answered each school day with my mom's help each morning, soon turned into 10 to 15 answers as the numbers of questions that
poured in were nearly overwhelming. Like in every single thing in life, it's a process that continues to become easier with
practice. It's still an exhilarating way to start the day. We always leave the house ready to face what will face us - fully
connected with God.
It was the winter of 2004
/ 2005 when my mentor and our friend Gary Spivey called to ask us to be part of his infomercial promoting his book "Your Keys
to Heaven". My mom agreed instantly for all of us and then after she hung-up the phone, wondered what she'd done. I mean,
were we ready to step up to bat for God and Gary and everything we knew to be true, and yet also knew most of our peers would
think of as "crazy"? It was without doubt the scariest thing we had done to date. Don't forget this was about 2 years before
the Willamette Week story and the Lake Oswego Review story published - and the interview on KUFO Radio, Portland.
Right before we were to leave
for Los Angeles, to participate in the all expenses-paid shooting
of the infomercial, my brother David told us he simply couldn't go. He was about to begin his freshman year at the U of O,
had been accepted to live in a Christian house off campus, and while still using his gifts from God - they were used secretly
as he was certain that his Christian friends in high school and his acceptance in the Christian house in Eugene would be jeopardized
should he participate. It was a sad day for my family. I mean, I understand why he felt the way he did, but my mom and I
felt as though this was the least we could do for Gary. After
all, it was he who first taught us to meditate and then how to use our gifts from God. I really don't know what would have
happened to my family or me if my brother hadn't put his money down for my mother to attend that first seminar of Gary's.
Shortly after my mom and I
returned from an amazing all expenses-paid weekend with Gary
filming his infomercial - we came home to find that David could no longer use his gifts. He was unable to connect with God,
see or hear his angels or have any healing qualities. All of his gifts - and his were many and very powerful - were gone.
My mother started to see spiritually, something she'd really wanted to do previously and couldn't. My gifts grew exponentially.
God told me in meditation recently that he wasn't interested in "silent believers". We think that by David stepping down
in "coming out" with his spiritual gifts, he temporarily lost them. We also think that by stepping up and "coming out" with
our spiritual gifts my mother's gifts multiplied and increased and so did mine - in a very big way. It took about 3 months
with no gifts before David did something fully wonderful in God's eyes and told God in prayer one day that if he wasn't worthy
of his gifts could my mother please have them as she would use them as they are to be used and that she would acknowledge
God as the source openly and freely. Mom still didn't get her gifts by that gesture as it was not God's timing to do so,
but David's gifts were restored. Parenthetically, Gary’s
infomercial never aired. At least to date, it hasn’t.
David was home with us to
help celebrate my 16th birthday this past August. He stayed the entire week to help us handle the publishing of the WW story.
I had no idea that I'd be on the cover - let alone the cover story. Originally, Beth Slovic interviewed us stating that she
was also interviewing other "Indigo" kids. On about the 3rd interview we had an idea that I might be the only one she was
writing about. I asked her if I could see the story before it was published and she flatly said no, and that they (WW) never
allow that. We didn't know until we saw it in our local Palisades Market - that my picture graced the cover. David got to
see first-hand how stepping up like this took not only courage, but absolute and utter blind faith. He also got to see how
while doing so was incredibly gut wrenching, he also got to see how it really opened up our family's ability to help others
- which was the real prayer in our collective hearts.
I'm very proud to tell you
that my 19-year old brother David had a meeting with his house Pastor just days after his return to Eugene and told him everything. To David's and our complete surprise, the Pastor took it
well and said he believed David - BUT he wanted David to keep his gifts away from the other housemates. At first we all thanked
God for opening hearts to the possibility that He still talks to people on Earth. We were also thankful that David wasn't
asked to leave his Christian house, but rather was asked to stay. The thing about courage however, is a taste of it is really
heady. David was finally free. He had publicly acknowledged his gifts and was nearly intoxicated in complete Truth. There
was no way he could keep his gifts from his housemates now. David chose to leave the house, rent an apartment with a great
friend and begin to help me openly along our path that God has placed us on and that we - all three of us - walk now hand
in hand. David helps me answer the questions asked on this blog when I'm too tired, too busy, or simply don't get an answer
when I try to get one. Again, I don't believe that God ever wanted us to work alone. Perhaps David will post his own website
and offer his gifts to the world, or at least to Eugene. When and if he does, I'll proudly post a link to it on this website.
Thank you David, thank you
Mom, thank you readers and questioners, but most importantly, thank you God.
